Here is a collage and poster.....it is. Sad day leaving. I never felt this sad before. Our deepening friendship that we have developed makes us a part of their like and struggle. This is a real, honest, religious man. Someone I am proud to call a friend. I hope he views us as people looking to make our small corner of the world a better place to live. I will pock him up a radio for his card and come back in April.

Sadness
I felt this sadness come over me when we were leaving Havana. Our relationship with Mikey has deepened and I wish we had more time to enjoy his company. What a good man with a wonderful family. I hope to see him for many years to come.

Last day....
Our last day here, I scrambled to get my VIP card from Sandra but to no avail as this is Cuba and things take time.
We met with Mikey to tour around Sarah was looking for something nice for the wall. I wanted Sarah to experience the look of the Telegraph Bar so we stopped for lunch.

The Best Meal in Havana
We were again given a gracious invitation to have dinner at Mikey's house with his wife a beautiful baby girl.
What a meal, prepared with love and of the freshest ingredients, Chicken, rice and beans, fresh, ripe, tomatoes, yucca and Champagne! You know a meal like this is special when people who do not have much give you such wonderful food.
We bought his wife a beautiful shawl, the best coffee for Mikey and Hershey kisses for the little girl which was the best of all. We were given a warm embrace and welcome by his wife's parents who live across the street.

Camara Panic...
We got back to the hotel and when a few hours later we got ready for dinner I realized my camera was missing. I was in a panic and thought I left it at the restaurant. I figured it would never be there. At 7pm sharp, Mikey drives up to the hotel. I figured to tell him let's go back to the place we ate that afternoon. Lo and behold, Mikey had the camera in his hand. It had slipped out of my pocket in the back seat. Whew!
The Car...

Santeria....
After lunch, we headed to this area where Santeria is practiced. Sunday's they play great music. We let a couple of people be our guides so to make them so money. It was crowded but lively and fun.
Sarah on the move....
Mikey picked us up at 12 and Sarah is rearing to go but hungry. We stop at the Plaza Hotel in the city center. The Plaza is a beautiful hotel that dates to 1909. Babe Ruth created havoc in Suite 216 during the 20's baseball barnstorming days.

An Afternoon Spin
Mikey showed up late and found me reading on the porch i told him Sarah would not be coming and it was just me . Our first duty was to drive alone the MELACON. however, it was block off by police--oh well. I wanted to go to center to look for stamps with a Fidel photo on them. After a few stops , they were nowhere to be found. We were hungry and hot so we stopped at Hotel Telegraph with has a nice looking interior with an artist mural. After lunch, we picked up some water and headed back to the hotel.
Sarah was relaxing, looking good and refreshed so we spent some time together on the veranda then went back to the room for a nap that never came

Lunch after Fuster
Mikey drove around the mansion area of Mirmar and then took us to a Cuban State run restaurant with wonderful BBQ pork and chicken.
Beautiful weather...Friday
And raring to go.....feeling great and was surprised to see Sarah up so early and joining me for breakfast. We hung around the hotel until 12 when we met up with Mikey to go see the Fuster tile work.
